This post is a little delayed. I began a brand new chapter of my life ten days ago. It’s time for brand new adventures.
I’ve been living in the beautiful city of Porto for the last 18 months. I had a wonderful time yet Porto is a city and I’m a country girl at heart. So, it was time to make my move.
This is a time of major changes for me. Not only am I shaking up my work, I’m at the start of a journey to search for a corner of this earth where I’ll be putting down roots.
I’ve begun my journey in the beautiful little town of Vila Nova de Cerveira, nestled on the banks of the Rio Minho of the region of the same name. It’s so beautiful, my friends!
Vila Nova de Cerveira is a town on the Portuguese Coastal Camino de Santiago – a mere 15km from the Altantic Coast. I’m so happy to be back on the Camino. It’s a magic area to live.
The Rio Minho is the international border between Portugal and Spain so I’m going home..sort of. This is the Galician area of Spain, an ancient land of Celtic heritage. I’m so excited that I’ll be able to visit Spain every day.
Over the course of spring and summer, I’ll be spending time on the Camino but also visiting areas of northern Spain, the Pyrenees and the Cevennes mountain range in southern France, Morroco, Andalucia and a chunk of time in London plus wherever else appeals.
And my puppaboy @caminowilly will be coming along with me 🙂 So there will be a campervan involved.
Here’s to brand new adventures, my friends. I´m excited to begin the first chapter of the book that is my new life.
