Yes, it’s the time of the year when the night skies light up with the “show”er of the Perseid Meteors for 2021.
The night sky will be filled with streaks of colour, light and shooting stars from now until the 24th August, with peak viewing days during the 11th, 12th and 13th August.
Astronomers suggest this Perseid shower is not one to be missed as the show is often one of the most reliable events of the meteors showers that can be viewed without a telescope.
This particular meteor shower is created as the Earth passes through the tail end of the comet Swift-Turtle each year.
Debris from the comet burns off in Earth¡s atmosphere creating a spectacular show for earthy beings.

Indeed, I was fortunate to witness a shooting star or two on my recent Camino de Santiago, high above the forest skyline in a village called Cerdal.
Remember, the 11th, 12th and 13th August are the best days to view the stunning night show. Don’t miss out!
