Rebel! Let’s Walk Like Our Feet Are Kissing The Earth.

We live in strange times, huh? The coronavirus has set off a chain of events that have changed our world forever.

The crisis that we are experiencing on our planet is the biggest wake-up humanity has ever faced.

Mother Earth has clapped back against the war humanity has raged against her. Mother Earth has decided the time has come to change our ways to save our home. So, Mother Earth has sent us a message we cannot ignore. Mother Earth wants us to rebel like never before.

And we all need our Mother Earth. She provides a home and nurtures us all.

While we may feel we live in the worst of times at the moment, this crisis has the potential to bring out the best in each of us. As we watch the breakdown of our world, we have the opportunity to build from the bones. To begin anew. To create a world we are proud of, leaving a planet fit for our children and their children too.

Silver linings, my friends. There is a silver lining in the dark cloud that hangs over our world. In the coming years, we will witness the evolution of humanity to ensure our survival, and make the world a better place for us all.

As long as we are willing to rebel. That’s what Mother is demanding. That we rebel and start a revolution. That we do right by the planet and ourselves.

This is what Mother Earth asks of us. We ask ourselves these questions every day and rebel if the answer is no.

Are we living gently on this Earth?

Are we walking as if our feet are kissing the ground?

Are we treading lightly on this beautiful planet?

Are we doing all we can to help lighten the burden our Mother carries in providing for us all?

We can and we must rebel against the current status quo of greed that runs through humanity in terms of our consumer habits. There are so many changes we can make, big and small.

Each of us can decide to support Mother Earth. Each of us can change our consumer habits. Each of us can change our pastimes to help save our world.

From.the food that we eat and the clothes that we buy. From where we shop to the cars that we drive.

Rebel. Rebel. Rebel.

We can choose to go vegan or buy seasonal veg. Let’s stop wasting food by making sure we throw nothing away. Waste not, want not, my friends, is a revolutionary act in itself.

Not one morsel. Not one drop. Let’s rebel and let nothing go to waste.

We can learn to mend and make do or buy second-hand. Have clothes-swapping parties and learn to pass down. Vintage and thrift shops online or down your road will become all the rage, We’ll pick up old skills, and learn to darn and to knit.

We can rebel against fast fashion and those silly, silly fads.

Do we really need to replace our furniture or can we embrace upcycling? Do we need to decorate our homes or buy new soft furnishings with every changing season? Shall we support independent artisans and craftsman who honour the Earth? Let’s stop buying tat from China, designed to break at first chance.

Rebel, my friends. Rebel. That’s what Mother asks of us. To rebel with every purchase we make.

We can call time on the corporations that dominate the world. The ones who care nothing for our home, Planet Earth. The soulless organisations who have poisoned and polluted our lands. Who makes people work for pennies while grasping big tax breaks with their greedy hands.

Rebel, my friend. Mother Earth asks us to rebel. All we have to do is vote with our feet and take our money elsewhere. Let’s spend our money shopping with local businesses and small online stores. The ones who need our support more than ever before.

We can consider the environment when choosing our car. Do we really need a gas guzzler or people carrier when all we do is whiz around town? Can we work out ride shares with our neighbours and friends instead?

Better yet, we can ditch the car and stretch our legs. Walk to the store daily and carry our groceries instead. Let’s make good use of the public transport system to help get around.

We can switch off our televisions and cell phones. Get out into the wild and reconnect with the Earth. Give ourselves space to breathe and heal our health.

We can practice slow travel when we take our vacations. Get to know a place inside out rather than dashing around. Let’s stop polluting the skies with excessive flights. Remember the joys of a road trip or an overnight train ride.

Rebel. That’s all Mother Earth asks. To rebel and cause a revolution that will change our world for the better.

We can lead by example and show our children new ways. Let’s teach them to be better than us while saving the planet for them.

We need to rebel, my friends. Rebel. Rebel against the old ways that bring nothing but destruction. We need to rebel against consumerism in a way we never have before.

That’s all that Mother Earth is asking of us, To start a revolution that will change our world forever. To evolve and grow in ways we never dreamed possible. To change our ways to save our world. To rebel.

We must save our Mother if we are to keep this Earth. We must walk like our feet are kissing her blessed earth.
